my love.
Wait, this should come first before any other updates of my life.
9 days left to the day i've lived for 18.
I realised i don't do birthdays anymore.
These days, i don't see the point.
It had been different, of course, when i was a little girl.
Birthdays were all about noisy parties with forbidden food like sucky sweets and brightly coloured fizzy drinks.
Those birthdays had come with satisfying exciting boxes wrapped in special paper tied with coloured ribbon.
Those birthdays had been fun and magical.
But now, all a birthday did was remind me that i am another year older and that somehow life hadn't turned out like i expect back when i strutted around the living room feeling like a fairy princess for the day...
Law and Management. Year 2. Semester 1, week 1.
Hectic.
Highlights for the week,
Family law and Contract law lectures
Business Accounting and MBS lectures
Recruitment drive for both TP ambassadors and Adventure Club.
TP Human Wheelbarrow Challenge
Theatres was a blast.
Imagine that. I didn't even had the chance to sit on this rolling chair and switch on my laptop just to update this blog. I had to give in to exhaustion. But in the midst of busyness of lectures and looking after AC booth, i managed to capture memories again! I had to admit that life in TP together with the people you enjoy being with is FANTASTIC. Meet my fellow ex-classmates from 1L02. Tomorrow, we will officially be in different tutorial groups. It hurts to see that we have different timetables to complain about. Those in the picture are like only half the class. The other half is just as fun and catastrophic (:
Surprisingly, day 1 was a drag for me as we only had a morning lecture and had to wait til 6pm for AC meeting regarding future plans and such but due to unexpected circumstances, i had to leave early and couldn't turn up. Even so, while waiting for time to pass, Nena and i took loads of photos together in Ilaw.
For the rest of the week, i spent most of the time at the booth and promoting AC. Sure had loads of fun talking to strangers? It's only once in a while you are given such an opportunity to talk to everyone who passed by you. And AC actually had a warm response. Imagine having about 160 new members on day 1 of Recruitment Drive. Meet Mai, Esther and Faezah. They, who have been there guiding us in AC (: Two days ago, TP had this Human Wheelbarrow Challenge in school where we were suppose to be officials and help break the Guinness World Record as well. AWESOME fun we had! I was literally laughing my lungs out most of the time. Nena and I were most of the time fooling around though. Hey, but we did our job as officials also like offering drinks to the people during the Largest Human Wheelbarrow event, entertaining the participants who were bored in the chain during the event and of course cheering like mad, bimbotic cheerleaders during the Endurance Wheelbarrow Challenge. Man, do we had fun and we were proud of the Sports Climbing dudes who lasted in that position for an hour or so. GOOD JOB, guys. Impressive. Finally my room is done! New furniture all attached to the walls and it's BEAUTIFULLLL (:Wider desk and huge drawers to place my belongings and books. I loveee it. Once the walls are painted pink, i shall take photos and upload it here, alright! Lastly, update on today.
Maths is like love; a simple idea, but it can get complicated. I was right the minute i woke up this morning. Religious Class wasn't that fun like last week. I believe in my instincts you know. Like each time i happen to say things like "Something tells me that.." it tends to come to me without me thinking. So somehow, i believe in it. And i was right again. I was apprehensive at the start. It didn't turn out the way i want it to be. Man, how disheartening can my Sunday be. Wait, mama bringing me out to SHOP. Guess, Sundays can't be that bad, after all. hahaaaa.
P.S. I'm just a GIRL who likes to rock out, to have fun, to let loose.
patience. i've lost it all. I'm always late. And since it's a school holiday for me, I have always been late for Religious Class & today, I WAS LATE again! My back-to-school resolution is definitely never to be late for school and it'll be great if i change for the better and not be late for religious class too. SERIOUSLY. I hope i kick this bad habit away - getting off the bed late by tomorrow!!
Well, highlight of the week has always been Madrasah(Religious Class) for me. Hahaaa. It has never been as awesome as today. today's topic was Islam's History AND that's it. Literally. Ayuni and I were living in our own world and space in that one corner of the class while being engaged in very interesting conversations (ayuni, you know i know ey!). Presentations put up by others were great and interactive though the lack of eye-contact were a total weakness. Besides that, entertaining indeeeeeed(:
After madrasah, we head the mall to shop for school tomorrow. FUN chatting with ayuniiiiiii. And like i've told you, i shall announce it here too, once school starts tomorrow, i'd really look forward to madrasah every week! Alright, what more to say. DID I MENTION THAT I'M NOT LOOKING FORWARD FOR MBS. will update you more on what kind of creature is that. it'll be haunting me for the whole semester till i get an A for it.
have faith, sue. it's POSSIBLE(:
Like many who have known me for ages may understand that I AM SO LOOKING FORWARD TO THEATRES THIS SEMESTER!!
with that,
SCHOOL. LECTURE. TOMORROW. AT 9AM. TURNING IN EARLY. UH-HUH.
Alhamdulillah
WEEK ZERO ORIENTATION WAS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST!!!!
LAW OEI!!
It was great, awesome, fantastic FUN and being an ADHL(Assistant Diploma Head Leader) made it even better for me! It was an unforgettable and definitely a fruitful experience. I have certainly learnt alot working together with Roy. He has taught me a lot on how to be a great leader setting examples for the SLs to set foot in. At the start of it all, it was a pressurizing moment for me. Being it a first time and a last minute notice and all. But through it all, i managed to pull myself together and just be myself. I had loads of fun having to meet the Law Freshies. They are both adorable and hilarious. Although dead in times, they've been an awesome cohort. Great and supportive. I'm actually proud to be a senior to this bunch of people. So guys, if you need anything, you are welcome to seek help from us alright! This camp meant a lot to the Main Comm. And winning again as the back-to-back champion for the FIFTH TIME has really satisfy them. I mean that's what they've been working so hard for besides passion and making freshies feel belonged and at home in BUSINESS SCHOOL(:
The minute it was announced that we won and seeing the Main Comm people suddenly broke down really touched me. I felt it, somehow. Like they've been together for a year or so working so hard for it and by the end of it all, they've SUCCEED. They deserve it. They really do. They're not leaving. They left a legacy behind. And they will always be role models to the next new batch of Main Comm. and may the next main comm committee would be just as great and focused.
BUSINESS SCHOOOOOOL ALLLLL THE WAYYYYY!!!!! xDDDD
In the midst of busy-ness and multi-tasking during the camp. I managed to capture a little of PRECIOUS, AWESOMEEE moments at Bedok Resevoir as well as post-camp events like JAM n HOP!!!!
Meet Shariffa and Sabrina, the beauties from Law Year 1 (:
Also my other juniors, Barney and Sean who constantly disappoint me when it comes to cheering during orientation. aha. GET A LIFE, GUYS.
And not forgetting, my fellow SL and also coursemate from Law, Malini!! xD
The Business Cheerleaders! They put up a really amazing performance. AWESOMEEEEEE.
and here's Roy, the Diploma Head Leader who i've been working with for the whole 2 days during the Orientaion and the ADHL for HTM, shihua (:
Jam n hop was happening as ever. We went wild. Like literally. haha. the best part was we girls didn't break. maybe for a moment but then we party-ED like nobody's business! haha. We formed a circle and then we danced GREAT! ahaha. TOTALLY IN OUR OWN WORLD MAN. AMAZING experience and fun indeed!! going to miss THE FUNNNN!
It was a great achievement for BUSINESS SCHOOL to win the overall champion again for the FIFTH TIME. We know we deserve it.
ROCK ON BIZ BIZ BIZ BUS-INESSSSSSSSSS (CLAP X 4) (:
Before I update on my day, I'd like to express my MISSES for my buddies from school and school itself. i've not been seeing them around throughout this holiday. An utter disappointment indeed. But even so, memories are still close to my heart. And when the hell are we going to get our timetable? I hope i get Theatres as a CDS this coming semester. Like what i told Nena, that's what i want to do in life. Perhaps not entirely Theatres as a career. Like Mama said, it's risky. But all in all, passion matters too (;
It was a wonderful morning at religious class because together as a team we had to face a challenge. hahaa. Despite the disruptions in class, I'm sure it is an awesome morning for some of us too. Surya, Hafizah and I were trying to drag the time til Ustazah could at least spend only a few minutes on Arabic. And we S-U-C-C-E-E-D. Zayanah was merely laughing her lungs out when we were cheering silently as time passes during Akhlak(moral). and I asked a brilliant question concerning an information i came across last night while doing my religious class homework. It is interesting and we've learnt a lot from it. Reaching the end of this post, read on as you may benefit from it (:
Well, at least i think i did. i'll update you with the data later. Surya then built on it and begged Ustazah to continue sharing and explaining the information with the class. Great work there, mate! And there goes, after all our hard work poured, we managed to steal ONLY 5-10 minutes of Arab. But we were surprised when she cut short the lesson to touch more on the question that i've just asked. YOU'RE WELCOME, GIRLS(:
But you see, what we've done is an act of seeking knowledge that we are interested to know. Only 20% of our niat(intention) wants time to pass on and avoid Arabic lesson. 70% to learn more about the topic i've presented due to curiosity. and 10%? Mere fun. hahaa. With that, this is the information shared by our Ustazah and partly what i've done research on. May this help Muslims out there to understand more about Islam and put this to good use and may I also, take this opportunity to gain blessings from Allah. Hopefully the right message is conveyed. Think about it..
Do you know?
Women have 9 nafsu (desires) and 1 akal (plan, way, means) and Men have 1 nafsu (desire) and 9 akal (plans, ways, means).
I am not very sure whether it is a fact. But Ustazah seems positive about it. She was actually explaining the fact that theoritically, it is true. We, women have many desires and calculatively, there's 9 of them. One i would know of and understand the most would be, shopping. hahaa. Am i right? and perhaps, being emotional easily as well; the desire to vent anger is another desire. I am still surfing the internet and found myself reading an opinon from an Ustaz that there's a logical reason behind why in Islam, men are given the power to determine divorce between spouses but not women. One of the reasons would be, women being more emotional compared to men. As a law student, it would be easier for me to relate to the Muslim Law (:
Under the Muslim law, talak means "to untie the matrimonial knot by articulating a word denoting divorce." If a husband utters the word on his wife, the two of them would automatically be divorced and the wife would be in a state of iddah. If, during iddah, the parties wish to reconcile, the divorce may be revoked without having to go through the process of nikah (marriage). Allah says: "Take them back on equitable terms or part with them on equitable terms." Quran - 65 : 2.I'm using Ustazah's method whenever you bring across an information or explanation to someone, support it with a dalil (evidence). Wow. Ustazah must be so proud of me. hahaa. Alhamdulillah. Till then, i'll be heading off now to have lunch with my love.p.s. i love my new handphone!!!
Girlfriends. Mad Jack Cafe. Jonas Bro. 3D Concert. Starbucks. Perfect.
no words can describe how fortunate i am to have friends like you guys (:
no words can describe how exciting today was for me.
no words can describe how marvelous the experience was!
After long days at camp for me. FINALLY, we have a girls-dayout together! I mean, the last time we met was at Weiting's birthday party and I really had awesome memories then. We've been great friends since 3 years ago. And it has been a fruitful time indeed. It is simply amazing having to meet up again.
We went to watch JONAS BRO. 3D CONCERT at the cinema. The experience was unbelivably AWESOME. And Mary, apologies. I still think Nick is cuter than Joe. Haha. Jess kept whispering also yelling in times during the movie in my ear that Joe was hot especially in Yellow!! Well, undeniable that he looks great in that shade of yellow. You and Mary can jolly well sort things out over him alright.
At Mad Jack Cafe, mind you, we weren't camwhoring alright. Instead, we were treasuring that moment while waiting for our fellow girlfriend, JESSICA SEE, capturing memories in that particular Cafe. Oh my goodness. We had taken tons. Even so, we had a pretty heavy lunch, didn't we? Delicious and extremely worth it. Sadly, we were complaining about how full we were on the way back to Grand Cathay. Jess even had a HUGE MEAL before meeting us. I was laughing my lungs out just listening to her moaning.
Back at Grand Cathay, I bet no one can imagine how ridiculous we were trying very hard to capture a picture together with Zac Efron on the way up the ESCALATOR!!!#@!!
It was a hard time for them especially (;
The fun we had. Believe me, I tried. haha.
Zac Efron (: The movie was amazingly fantastic. The images looked totally real although some parts were unnecessary but the throwing of stuffs towards us was pretty well done. There were a few times Junru actually screamed thinking that we were going to get hit! I didn't believe that there were even FANATICS who were screaming at the top of their voices. I mean. WOW. I screamed when Taylor Swift was up next only ONCE, singing Should've Said No when Jess reminded me that that BIG THING infront of us was actually just a SCREEN.
As crazy as some people can be. MARY AND WEIMIN ALMOST MADE AN INSANE DECISION TO WATCH IT AGAIN LATER ON. i shall not touch on the reason why they've come to such decision because it's JUST plain crazy. haha! love you guys anyway laa! while they were contemplating at the counter whether or not to buy the tix for the next BUSY SLOT. Jess, Juju and I were capturing memories again xD
They've decided not to eventually.
Then we head off to Plaza Singapura to buy the gifts for th Tea Party this coming Monday. Haha. Jess, We're satisfied with what we've bought, aren't we? =p On the way back, it was raining so we were in 'twos' instantly when we realised that we've got three umbrellas with us.
JUST perfectly nice.
I couldn't forget the laughters in the rain too (:
The Excitement.
Can't wait for the Tea Party.
It'll be so cool.
Positive.
Starbucks. Frapuccino. Girlfriends. Gossips. Chat. What could be better than this?
It was an AWESOME evening for us, i'm sure. And we've made a promise to have our NEXT outing pretty sooooon. Watching 17 AGAIN together!!!!! so looooooking forward!
I really had the craziest fun-filled day and thanks for it! It was both ENJOYABLE and UNFORGETTABLE.
Till we meet again girls, little did i notice that we took loads of pictures.
so i'll be uploading the rest in Facebook and will tag all tomorrow.
LOVES.
